When I first meet Kristen and Mike over a year ago we were both volunteering our photographic talents at the local Help Portrait event. During the lunch break Kristen and I got to talk for a little bit and I showed her the most recent wedding I had shot on my iPhone. Shortly after she told Mike that she had found her wedding photographer to which Mike’s response was, “who are you marrying?” they were not even engaged yet. It was truly an awesome moment and I never would have believe back then that a year later she would have called me to ask me to shot their wedding. That is the kind of people Mike and Kristen are, they are loving, genuine and caring people. I am the most blessed of all for knowing them and it was a true honor to photograph their wedding. They are as far from traditional as you can be, and their wedding reflected their personalities and uniqueness. They had elope earlier this year (Feb 29th) in West palm at their favorite vacation spot together. To which I was also the lucky photographer to capture it. It was just them, the pastor who was a long time friend of Mikes, a witness and myself. For the first time I got to be and sign a marriage license as a witness to one of my couples, it was awesome beyond words.
Kristen and Mike are perfect for one another, they are humble and sweet, they love their pugs and often serve as foster “Pug” parents to many little pugs that are in need and searching for a home. Mike is an amazing journalistic photographer and dad to two beautiful young ladies to which Kristen is a great role model and extremely close to them. Kristen is a nurse for the VA and she does incredible work and serves for our amazing country and on top of it all a fantastic enthusiast photographer.
Mike, his best man, the neighbor and both of their wives put together the entire wedding seating and decorations.
Kristen and Mike are perfect for one another, their wedding reflected perfectly who they are. The air was filled with laughter, love and fun, just the way every wedding should be. Surrounded by close family and close friends in the comfort of their own home’s backyard were they celebrated in comfort.
May God always blessed them and give them a long, happy and fulfilling marriage
