The CLS Workshops were born, CLS stands for Compose Light Shot…

A year ago in thanks to my friend Julie Little from Little’s Portraits who talked me into creating a workshop for people who wanted to learn more about lighting and creative approach to photography. The CLS Workshops were born, CLS stands for Compose Light Shot which are the basics of my style and approach to my work. So this past weekend we held the 3rd one so far, this was one was particularly special as I got to format it just as I always wanted to and I was pleasantly surprised when we booked overbooked it by two students more due to people asking us to extend the original estimated limit capacity. We also had 3 couples and 2 models come out to help and be photographed by all of us, kudos to them for their patience and awesomeness. My students were simply incredible, they were enthusiastic and passionate and they made it the day go by incredibly fast. I feel humbled and grateful and I look forward to seeing all the great images that they got to produce.
So here is a few images to get it started I should have more to come…

Six weeks ago to be exact, on Friday August 3rd, I celebrated my 4th wedding anniversary with my beautiful wife. Coincidentally, that same day was a defining day for my young photography business.  I started the process of completely redesigning and branding my photography business with my dream studio, Flosites. My goal is to push forward Gian Carlo Photography to its next phase; I want high end, storytelling and creative photography for modern brides. That Friday also happened to also be my very last day as a teacher for Full Sail University. I have a vision in mind and I am focused on this vision primarily because I believe God has placed it in my heart. It gets me up in the morning; it gets me to laugh, cry, fight, believe, strive and love.
Friday was a new chapter in my life. I cannot think of anything I would rather do than to spend my time capturing stories of love, and life.

I have been working hard trying to decide how I would start sharing the changes in my life, my vision and my business. I wondered what would be the best way to talk about the projects and ideas I have to share with those who will listen. I am working on a Giveaway project. I want 6 couples to be featured on the new blog/site upon release with my photography. I am writing a Wedding Manifesto that is full of insight from all my brides However, I am also held back by the notion that I need to get it perfect before I can share it, or even talk about. Today though, I decided I am a bit imperfect and I won’t concern myself with being perfect.
So, I am officially 120% submerged from head to toe into this project called Gian Carlo Photography. I am happy to announce that in the next couple of months I am getting ready to release the new rebranding for the company with a new logo, which I am proud of. I believe it to be unique as I hope my work will be. Other projects include a YouTube channel full of educational videos, new workshop announcements and as I mentioned already, my very first Giveaway to 6 couples for full photography sessions. I will be posting details, deadlines and dates for all mentioned above.

Thank you for the time you give to me, thank you for your friendships, thank you for the good vibrations, and thank you for caring more than I could ask for.
You make my dream possible to pursue.  God has sent you to listen, and so I am humbled to share this “interwebs” with you. Thank you for being you and for strengthening the possibilities for me to just be me.
I am looking with faith into what is to come and cannot wait to share it with you.

I am really looking forward to sharing all I got… Blessed!

A couple of weeks back I had the pleasure to instruct my composition and lighting workshop for Snap Orlando. To which I am grateful and humble by, and I like to thank everyone who showed up to lean and to those that supported and helped me throughout it, it would not have been possible without you. I want to give a special thanks to Hannah and Andrew | Marigold Scott Hair and Make for all their wonderful work. Thank to Adrienne Rundell from Clearly in focus photography for all her wonderful help setting things up and help making sure things ran well that day, and I really needed that, from the bottom of my heart thanks for taking the time from your busy schedule. Thanks to the awesome people at Snap Orlando that start but certainly does not end with the master mind of it all Patrick Khan Of course a huge thank to a dear friend Julio Lima that provided his wonderful space to do the workshop. Orange studio | Say it Loud its a wonderful location for photographers who are looking for affordable, spacious studio location to create unique and/or host wonderful photo shoots, workshops and gallery exhibitions, please check him out.
I ask you guys to please go to this folks above’s Facebook pages and LIKE them please.
I wish to have been able to teach longer that day. Although at the end I wanted to stay a little longer but I ended up losing my voice that night. This was the result of poor sleep and 5 continuous days of assignments that included a wedding and other Snap Events I had the privilege to cover.
My students will be receiving an email with the PDF to the workshop and a video I put together for you guys. I hope you get to watch it and that it teaches you a few things that I wanted to cover some more. I just ask you guys to send me some love that I can share with other in the future for other workshops. thanks
