As I look back on their super fun wedding that was towards the end of last year, I realize sharing these few additional images of the day after session is long over due.
Before their wedding, we agreed to meet up after the wedding day to take some fun shots around town. The weather had been pretty crappy most of December and rain was the main issue; however, we did not have any rain on the day of the shoot. I really am not one of those photographers who LOVES CLOUDY days. I actually kind of hate them. But, I knew no matter what the weather was like, Kelsey, Alexan and I would have a great time and get some fun pics too.
Kelsey is very beautiful and just about the sweetest and most selfless person you will ever meet. Alexan is quiet but he really is a caring dude and I am so happy I was able to meet him. He is also the son of my mentor when I was studying Graphic Design… small freaking world. Alexan’s dad was also one of my graphic design HEROES in town and I wanted to grow up to be just like him. I never imagined in a million years I would instead grow up to be a wedding photographer again… (long story, maybe some other time) and much less, I would end up photographing Alexan’s wedding.
Last year was a great stepping-stone kind-of-year for me personally and professionally. Couples who loved what I did started to find me. These were people who knew they wanted something different from their photography and were willing to take some changes in the name of creating art and images that were not so “every wedding blog out there.” I really could not have created one single decent image if it wasn’t for the people who trusted me and allowed me to do what I do.
Thank you Kelsey. Thank you Alexan. I hope you love the images as much as I love taking them … enjoy!
